NoseWork II / Introduction to Odor

This class focuses on the techniques of scent-searching and the handler’s skill in recognizing the dog‘s signals that it has located the ‘hide’. Prerequisite: Redfern Beginner Obedience or another Redfern course Introduces dogs to the obstacles used in agility competition, but at lower, safe heights. How Fit Is Your Dog?

Outdoor Adventures

This course works on basic obedience skills and good manners in a different location every class. This is an advanced class that deals with distractions in the environment. The class visits such locations as pet-friendly stores, local parks, farms, and (occasionally) a local nursing home. (more…)

* All Entry-Level Courses (Puppy and Beginners) include participation in a 1-session “Introduction to Training Seminar” prior to the first class session. The Introductory Seminar (for humans only — no dogs necessary) is included in the course fee, and will be offered at a variety of times to enable all students to choose a session that fits their schedule. Introduction to Training Seminar dates can be selected during registration for the course.

* Advanced Manners Course requires participation in a previous Redfern Canines’ course (Puppy or Beginners) as a prerequisite.

RR – In order to determine if the Reactive Rover class is the best option for your dog, you must first register for and complete a detailed behavior history and a one-on-one mini-consult/evaluation before you register for the Reactive Rover class sessions. Contact for more information on this program.
