Redfern Canines is dedicated to providing quality dog training experiences for owners and their dogs who take their responsibilities seriously. We provide a wide variety of dog training programs on all levels of experience.

Dog Training Classes

Our dog training classes use positive reinforcement training through Operant Conditioning (also known as Clicker Training) methods. These training methods help the dog to be more actively involved in their own growth and behavior and help to build a more wholesome long-term bond between the dog and handler. Our Director of Training is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), the Labrador Retriever Club of America, Harrisburg Kennel Club, The Keystone Labrador Retriever Club, the National Association of Canine Scent Work, and is an evaluator for Canine Good Citizen, S.T.A.R. Puppy, and the Alliance of Therapy Dogs.

Therapy Dog Training, Evaluation and Support

In addition to providing training and seminars to teach both dogs and the owner/handler the skills and behaviors required of Therapy Dogs, Redfern Canines provides therapy team evaluations through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs.
