Pictures from Birth-Day (& first few days)

7 healthy pups, 5 boys, 2 girls.  All are feeding normally.  Quite active one minute, sleeping soundly the next.  Eager for the next time at the mess hall.

First pictures, mom's belly is shaved.

The first family portrait. The heat lamp provides a rosy glow.

The Yellow Team's shift in the cafeteria.

Team Black takes their turn.

MOM! That TICKLES!

Tranquility

Resting

Hi Mom!

Hey, save some for ME!

The Cafeteria Line

Pictures from Week 1

Picking up weight -- doubled their birth weight.  Starting to fill out.  Moving about quite well.  Singingfor their supper ... and breakfast ... and lunch ... and afternoon snack ... and midnight snack ... and what ELSE do you have to do at 3 in the morning than feed us?

Click on the following images to enlarge

Remember when we used to all fit here?

I wish my eyes would open soon

Look down this empty hole -- they never feed us here!

Pictures from Week 2

Bulking up, that high-test stuff from mom is really agreeing with us.  Eyes are beginning to open -- little slits and occasionally a twinkle.  Stumbling around like drunken sailors.  EVERYTHING is open season for sucking.

YUCK! What WAS that stuff?

Julie and her little brother

I wish my eyes would open!

Stop the flash! I'm trying to SLEEP!

Nice pigment around the nose

HAH! That was a good one!

See the twinkle in my eye that is trying to open?

My tongue is bigger than yours

Snuggling brothers

C'mon mom -- WAKE UP!

Pictures from Week 3

Look Ma, we can SEE! Eyes and ears are open, so we're following what we can see and you can't talk without us picking up every word.  Oh, and we're getting vocal!  Choir practice is held every 2-3 hours, round the clock ... and woe be to Mom if she does not feed the choir.  We weigh about 3.5 pounds, and adding a few ounces each day.  Mom is beginning to SIT for some of her feeding duties.  In a week or so she will probably stand.

It's getting harder and harder for everyone to eat at the same table!

My eyes are REALLY open how!

This red pad tastes LOUSY!

Look -- I made it through the tunnel!

WOW! Did you check out that mini-bark?

Wink, wink -- d'ya catch my meaning?

Neighborhood conference.

Baby blue-eyes.

It's easier when the Lunch Wagon stands up at this stage.

Pictures from Week 4

The growing stage!  This week has been spent bulking up (everyone is over 5 pounds), and trying out new skills.  Walking is now trotting.  Eyes and ears are being fine-tuned.  Political discussions sometimes bring growls and woofs in addition to yips.  And TEETH!  Those shark teeth have emerged and are being tested on toys -- and one another.  The cuteness factor has risen to a new level.

The lunch line is now mostly stand-up.

Lemme see just how far back those teeth GO!

Hey! Leggo my EAR!

I wonder how puppy tail tastes?

Auntie Wendy babysits the brood.

This giraffe toy is a great way to practice my retriev.

I've got my eye on you.

Now let's see, what kind of michief can I get into next?

Look into my eyes!

Pictures from Week 5

OK, the Miracle Gro in the food is kicking in.  We're now over 7 pounds and closing in fast on 8.  Eating "soggified" real food 3-4 times a day, plus whatever mom will still give us.  More playful, romping and wrestling one another.  Learning to do our business in a defined area in the whelping box.  More interested in being picked up and held.  The woofs are getting deeper.  Getting out more -- individual and group short visits to church and various other places.  Come see us if you get a chance (but call first, it's getting busy!).

The Gathering -- Act 1

Learning to sit patiently

Look deeply into my eyes!

The Gathering -- Act 2

How could you say "no" to a face like this?

I see! You know, you take yourself WAY too seriously!

My blue eyes will be going away soon.

Pictures from Week 7

Health checkups passed with flying colors. Eye Dr passed all for CERF.  More than 10 pounds.  Needed to put in highest door, because the "escape artists" in the crew would meet us at the door when we come home!  Love to cuddle.  Getting ready to be sent to their new homes.

The Wal-Mart Greeters

Visiting with Aunt Wendy

Plotting their escape

Awright -- I give -- I give -- I SURRENDER!

JAWS! ........ ta-dum ..... ta-dum ..... ta-dum!

Resting on the Dog House Roof -- move over Snoopy!

Pictures from Week 8

Formal portraits as "the kids" prepare to move on to a new chapter in their lives.  Weight in the 12-13 pound range.  Everyone is healthy, active and ready to roll!
