It was a long labor, with some pups born on the way to the vet!

Pictures from Week 2

WOW!   How we have grown in just 11 days!  Mom's feeding us that high-octane food and we're all bulking up.  Good healthy stuff.  Notice our "eye spots" which is nature's way of tricking predators into thinking we're staring them down.  Actually our eyes (and ears) will not be open for about another week or so.  We're trying to walk, but those heads are oh, so heavy.  Coats are great and we're gearing up for choir practice when we tell mom that it's time for the lunch truck. Give us another week or so and we'll be scooting about.

Pictures from Week 4

We can see!  We can hear!  We can walk!  And we're even beginning to use our special potty area, so we don't mess up the whole whelping room.  We've discovered our tunnel.  We've discovered that it's cooler to sleep on the tile than on the pad.  We've discovered that there is a whole new world of things to chew!  We'd discover a gazillion OTHER things in this house if they'd just take down that blasted gate!  We like our bellies to be rubbed, and we LOVE it when we are snuggled by those large creatures with opposable thumbs.  Life is good!

Call me "Tank"

Gosh, it's hard to stay awake after a whole 3 minutes of playing!

Pulling the pad to "make the bed". Well, sorta!

HEY guys! Check out THIS drumstick!

Moment of Solitude

Didja see these PAWS? I'm gonna grow into them!

An obstacle to climb.

Ya don't say?!?

Pictures from Week 6

Growing!  Between the high-octane fuel they get from Mom, and their ventures into eating real honest dog food, these guys are definitely thriving.  Weighing in between 7 and 9 pounds apiece.  All systems functioning great.  And they LOVE when someone comes to visit.  Starting to show some definite behavior and personality traits.  Did we mention they like W-A-T-E-R?

Introduction to the wading pool.

OK, who got this water on me?

Huggable!

Should we wade in it or drink it?

The whole crew -- organized chaos/

A quiet moment

Whaddya think -- can I untie it?

Well, if I can't I'll just chew it!

Peering over the shoulder

Dunno what it is -- but it's fun to chew.

Chewing on Aunt Penny's ear.

How many of us will fit in this bucket at once?

Pictures from Week 7

The kids put on their best fur coats to sit for their "formal" portraits.  And this week they all went to see the Eye Doctor for their checkup.  Running around and having a glorious time.  They LOVE to lie belly down on the cool grass after the sprinkler is shut off on these hot and humid days.  Spending their last precious moments with Mom and their brothers and sisters.  Word has it that they're about to embark on some new and exciting adventures.
